What Is SCORM? |
SCORM ("Shareable Content Object Reference Model") is a standard for developing, packaging and delivering materials for online training courses. Prior to SCORM was developed, content that was created on one platform wasn't easily integrated with other platforms. Content that is compliant with the SCORM standard can generally be incorporated into multiple applications, allowing for learning contents to be easily modified and used by different tools and platforms. |

What Is AICC? |
AICC stands for Aviation Industry CBT [Computer-Based Training] Committee. AICC compliance functions in much the same way as SCORM compliance, allowing for the integration of different platforms. The main difference between AICC and SCORM is the physical location of the course content. With SCORM compliance, the course content is located on the same server as your LMS, or on another server within your network. AICC compliant content, however, is housed remotely, on a different server/network altogether. |
