Employment lawyers Robert D. Lipman, Esq. and Allison Plesur, Esq. founded Interactive Employment Training in 1996 to help employers provide engaging, effective discriminatory harassment prevention training.

IET's first training product was the award wining CD-ROM entitled "What Supervisors Need To Know About Sexual Harassment." Realizing that the internet provided a way to maximize the benefits of training, IET co-developed with AIG its online discriminatory harassment prevention training program "What Supervisors Need To Know About Discriminatory Harassment," which was recognized by Human Resource Executive magazine as a Top Ten Training Product of 2001.

Since that time, IET has expanded its offering of online training programs to include a harassment prevention program suitable for both supervisory and non-supervisory employees in many different industries, diversity training and award-winning e-mail risk reduction training, as well as other human resource compliance training courses.
