If your workforce has access to computers, online training is preferable to other types of training for several reasons.
  • Who Are You? - The message in EEO training can easily be lost if the trainer lacks credibility. Online training can easily incorporate a message from a senior person in your organization that demonstrates your organization's commitment to the training.

  • Uniform Message - Online training can be reviewed and approved by upper management, employment lawyers and HR. Everyone will know exactly what will be covered and how topics will be handled.

  • Learning Curve - Engaging online learning built on multidimensional adult learning principles can reach far more workers than seminar style training where typically fewer than one-third of the workers will actively participate in the learning format.

  • Cost - If you calculate the cost of getting a bunch of workers together to participate in a seminar, the cost is nearly always higher than online training. One hour of online training is typically as effective as a half day seminar.
